This step is relevant if you have paper documents, that need to be worked on and are sent to us.
We use high end production duplex colour scanners that can scan up to an amazing 250 images per minute !!!
All scanning is done at our office in London, England, UK.
Once scanning is completed the documents can be returned back to you or end at the of the process, securely destroyed and a certificate of destruction given to you.
Document Preparation
Complete document preparation service prior to scanning is done by us. This include:
- Document disassembly (removing staples and binding).
- Unfolding pages.
- Moving post-it notes to uncovering data.
- Correcting upside down or backwards pages.
Documents are then grouped into batches.
Document Scanning
After documents have been groped into batches, they are scanned at optimal resolution settings to ensure, that you not only get the best possible result for documents, but also keep the image files sizes to the minimum. This would ensure that you are able to retrieve the required files in the shortest span of time.
Salient features of our scanning include;
- Auto-Deskewing – Where the images are automatically rotated so they appear without any “tilt”
- Auto-Cropping – removing excess border outside the image
- Auto-Despecking - removing any “disturbance” from the image
- Our hardware controlled virtual re scan, ensures that too dark or light prints are adjusted for brightness to give crisp clear images.
- Colour-Blanking feature allows colour paper to be scanned as clean images by blanking the base colour.
- Our scanners control the scanning and are designed to stop in case of multiples documents are pulled by the document feeder. This ensures that no document is missed in scanning.
- Our scanners are duplex scanners with auto blank page deletion, i.e. both front and back of the document are scanned and if the back page is blank, its is automatically deleted, thus keeping the number of pages for the final output files optimal.
- Final output can be saved in multiple file formats including multiple or single page Tiff or Adobe Acrobat (PDF) formats.
